Projects:
April 15-M

ay 31, 2012

- There's still time to work on the Shibuya short sleeve sweater from Berroco Booklet #308.  Knit in Vintage DK but you could substitute Berroco Pure Pima if you'd like something lighter for the spring.  Skill level intermediate.

June 1-30, 2012 - Vernal Top crocheted shell from Spring 2012 Interweave Crochet magazine.  Crochet a worsted weight cotton shell for summer uning single and double crochets!  You could adjust your hook size and use a DK weight cotton yarn (that's what I did).  Confident beginner.

July 1-31, 2012 - Smoke Ring Cowl from Wendy Johnson's Wendy Knits Lace book.  This is a very easy lace pattern that can be worked in a fingering weight yarn.  If you want to learn how to knit lace, this is a great first project.

August 1-31, 2012 - Socks!  Use the traditional Yankee Knitter socks for the family pattern and knit on double pointed needles or magic loop.

Creative Yarns is happy to be part of the North Shore knitting community! We are located in downtown Beverly at 100 Cabot Street (in the green building next to Fibber McGee’s). We also sell some of our yarn ONLINE

Do you love the Harmony wood and nickel plated needles from Knit Picks?  WE HAVE THEM! We are one of the only stores in the area to carry Knit Picks needles, and also carry yarns by Araucania, Berroco, Debbie Bliss, Ella Rae, Frog Tree, Noro, Plymouth, and more.

Our staff is knowledgeable about yarns, knitting and crochet and ready to help you with your yarn and pattern selections.  We can give you expert help with your knitting and crochet projects as time permits – just ask!

Our shop is spacious and well lighted so you can move around freely as you make your selections or sit and chat with your friends and our staff.  We have a large table to sit at while you browse through out books and patterns or knit.

We are one of the only stores in the area to carry needles by Knit Picks, and also carry needles, notions, bags and other knitting-related supplies from Knitter's Pride, Lantern Moon, Clover and other companies. Creative Yarns sells bags and accessory cases hand made by Phyllis Vray of Salem.

Do you go into a yarn store and see the perfect yarn for one of the projects in your Ravelry queue but have no idea how much yarn you need? We have solved that problem for you – we have a computer to access your Ravelry account!

We also feature a swift and ball winder, where you can wind your own yarn (so you can start knitting sooner!) or we will be happy to wind it for you.

Creative Yarns is the sister store of Sew Creative, and like our big sister we’re a fun place to shop where customers are friends!
